One of the tasks that digital marketing experts have, is, occasionally, that we work where folks play. I was talking about this matter with some scholars in the Faculty of Economics in Leon, where I teach Selling.
They needed to present a job about community chiefs, and I really liked it.
Neuroscience and electronic books in our country were other fascinating studies, but community bosses were a bit special, because online marketing consultants work along with them.
Community managers: Who are they?
There is no a very clear definition of this job. Some people think they are copy-paste folks for social media, other folks think that they can manage several channels, and ultimately (they) think they need to create and consolidate relations between the brand and the clients or customers.
Maybe, a community boss is a person that works where his boss wants, doing what his chief wants.
Why? He pays, he selects. Economy is quite important in our world, and jobs, too.
Digital Promoting and Community bosses
When an advisor specialised in digital media designs a digital media plan, he is building a structure where not only the channels, but tasks are on the horizon.
At about that point, there are some tasks for developing, like the ones we described here in this article. Other of these tasks are well known and defined.
The great query is: Who's going to develop these functions? And here is where advisors, again, have the chance to make an offer and community managers appear as a solution.
Why we should or shouldn’t contract a community chief (or not)
It is a time/money question. There are firms with staff that have some spend time and can perfectly develop these functions. In this case, it’s quite interesting to finish the labour day with these jobs (glaringly after a coaching course).
Infrequently it’s fascinating to contract a half-time community chief, shared with other corporations or contractor. It can cost you something around 400$ / month.
And by the way, it is not very well paid nor your ideal job, but now there’s a recesion in our societies and jobs are not everywhere.
Another choice is to contract a professional digital promoting director and he'll decide on the folks for doing the job.
